Well, who knows if "D from Sydney" really is an Aussie, as people can pretend to be anybody in a guestbook. But he sounds like he could be a real mate. Let's see what takes place in this battle of wits, as "D" wonders what is going on with this obsession over the genocide business... and how his plea to stop hating and get on with living life is met.

Whats the big deal if the turks murdered a million and a half armenians, almost every other nation in the world has done such atrocities at some point in time or other, isnt it time to move on and get on with our lives? Who cares?

...That they are doing the same with the Kurds today... ...Their disrespect for human rights still goes on since then, you see...

I'm not saying the kurdish conflict isnt another atrocity, and besides, the kurds are having their share of the killing anyway, but it shouldnt be the main driving force in us otherwise you end up with hate because of history and that leads to prejudice and thats why the armenians and turks or greeks and turks will never be friends. But what if people stopped teaching their kids to hate and forgot about the whole thing, do you think the future generations might have a chance then? I do.

Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it. We cannot forget.

If your ever in the Los Angeles area let me know, I'll take you out on the town, we can have a few beers, then I'll shove my foot up your ass, ship you to turkey and see how you deal with it. But that probably wont work cause your probably a turk, if that's the case I'll treat you like your grandparents treated my grandparents.

Holdwater: Don't you just love the Armenian mentality? "If you don't agree with me, I will kill you." (Or at least get rough with you in some manner.)

If you think battling with wits and intelligence is going to get you anywhere, think again. History is written by the winners you lot being the losers wont have much affect in attempting to change it. And no lousy internet forum in the world will make a difference. If you want my advice, my friend, go get a few beers or something and try to relax. Otherwise your heading straight for an ulcer.
